Google Me This is a comic-book-themed treasure hunt in which you will have to follow a trail of puzzles across the Internet - as well as across your home town as you zip out to find the real-life objects you need to follow along! Be the first to decode the Googler's secret message and win a $100 Amazon.ca gift certificate!
Dear wannabe Dark Frights and Boy Blunders,
It is I, your nefarious nemesis, the Googler! You know, that masked mastermind who can't help leaving a set of web-based hints revealing his next dastardly deed? Well, I've got another evil scheme in the works - and, boy, is this one going to be a doozy. I've planted my super-special Googler-Wiggly-Hands-Device at an inhabited location somewhere on Earth. When it goes off, millions will be tickled... to DEATH! Mwa hahahahahaha!
What's that? You want to know what location so you can stop me? Not to worry, I've written down my plan for you, and I'll post it right here the Friday before the hunt.
Whoops! I forgot to tell you that I put the message in code - actually, in codeS. After I coded the message the first time, I coded that coded message in a second code, and then coded the double-coded message in a third code, and - well, you get the idea.
But not to worry - if you just follow my clues through cyberspace, you should be able to discover the codes I've used. If you run out and find the objects I used to do it, you can decode my message one layer at a time. I just hope you can manage it before the timer on my device reaches zero...
Yours in criminal insanity, the Googler
